CTACE was started by a diverse coalition of educators, advocates, and community members who recognized that true equity requires more than good intentions—it demands collaborative action and systemic change. 

What began as a grassroots movement to address inequities in rural communties, has evolved into a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to creating lasting change across sectors—from educational systems, towns/municipalites, and organizations- to corporate environments and the arts.

At the Alliance for Collaborative Equity (CTACE), we champion a world where everyone belongs. Through advocacy, education, and community-building, we work to create equitable spaces where diverse voices are heard, valued, and empowered. Our mission is to transform organizations and communities through collaborative approaches that center equity and foster genuine belonging.

Our work is guided by three interconnected pillars:

1. Advocacy
   We amplify historically excluded voices and advocate for policies and practices that promote equity. We believe that those most affected by inequity must be at the center of creating solutions.
    

2. Education
   We provide trauma-informed, culturally responsive training and resources that help organizations and communities recognize barriers to equity and implement effective strategies for change.
    

3. Belonging
   We facilitate meaningful connections and create brave spaces where authentic dialogue can flourish. True belonging happens when people can bring their whole selves to every table and know they matter.
